For Frequently Asked Questions Click Here

Unfortunately, due to the many requests I have received in the past for information on individual series and actors/actresses, the availability of videos, etc...it has become impossible to reply to individual questions. Therefore, rather than disappoint anyone, I have set up a Forum where you can post your message and with any luck, one of the many forum members that look in each week will be able to give you an answer.

You can join our growing online community and post questions or answer the ones you know by simply signing up for our message board. You will be sent a password allowing you to post messages or open a discussion on any number of topics ranging from television to films, music or simply your own nostalgic reminiscences.

There's no catch and no charge. Your email address will not be passed to any third party nor will you receive any spammed mail as a result of joining. Use our online community whenever you want at The Television Heaven Forum http://tvhforum.proboards81.com/ and the only thing we ask in return is that you do not use bad language. I'm sure you will use the Message Board in the spirit it is intended and I hope you enjoy your visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you sell video's or DVD's of any of the shows you review on this site?

Check the TVH DVD Shop UK or US for all your DVD purchases. If you are purchasing video's always remember that different countries have different formats so, for example, a video you purchase in the USA will not play on a machine purchased in the UK. DVD's are not so restrictive as you can now buy players that are "multi-region", which means that you can have the best of both worlds.

What is the difference between a "Region 1 DVD" and a "Region 2 DVD"

Region 1 is the format used in the USA. Region 2 is used in the UK

Do you have access to a list of which TV shows are available to purchase on video or DVD?

Unfortunately, no. Again the best thing to do is find an online store like the TVH DVD Shops and search for the product you require (nearly all of these sites have their own built in search-engines).

I have been waiting for a particular episode of a certain show/series to come on TV. Can you tell me when it might be broadcast.

No. This is probably one of the most common questions I get asked. Unfortunately, I do not have access to information about planned TV schedules.

You haven't reviewed my favourite TV show. How come?

Television Heaven is developing all the time and new reviews are added on an almost weekly basis. The chances are that if a show hasn't been covered it's because our small team of reviewers simply haven't got round to it yet. Check back for regular updates.

Can I suggest a review?

Please do. I may have overlooked something really obvious.

I've noticed a mistake on your website

Feel free to email me with details of the error and I will correct it as soon as possible.

Can I contribute to Television Heaven or any of your websites?

I would be more than happy to hear from anyone wishing to contribute a review of their favourite show as long as it isn't already featured on the site. Or, you can write a piece telling us why you like a particular show. But remember, this is a non-profit making site so I am not in a position to pay for articles.

Can I advertise on your website?

This site uses a number of tried and tested affiliate links. I do not offer free links to profit-making websites or businesses. A Fixed Advertising Rate is now available for advertisers wishing to place an ad/link on Television Heaven. Please contact the site for a quote through the email address below.

I have a website of my own...can I link to your site?

Certainly. Please use my email address to contact me and I will be more than happy to add a reciprocal link to any fansite or non-profit making website. However, I will not link to businesses that are looking for free advertising or any site that I consider to contain offensive material.

Article Submissions
---------------------

Since the 1950's people all around the world have been able to enjoy television programmes made in different parts of the world. Therefore we do not restrict ourselves to the best shows from one particular country and hope in future to add reviews of shows made wherever shows are made. If you feel as though a particular show from your country is worthy of inclusion but not reviewed here please feel free to review it yourself.

Television Heaven is always happy to recieve well written, interesting and insightful articles and reviews relating to television. Obviously, when writing these accuracy is of the utmost importance. All facts should be checked. Articles should not just be a straight statement of facts and your own well-balanced critical opinions are very welcome and encouraged. Television Heaven is not, at this time, a profit-making site so regrettably I am not in a position to offer payment.

Categories
------------

The categories open for submissions are as follows:

DRAMA SHOWS
COMEDY SHOWS
SCIENCE FICTION/OTHER CULT SHOWS
KIDS SHOWS
TV GREATS
HISTORY OF TV

If none of the above subjects appeal to you take a look at Teletronic or Reminisce This where your articles are also welcome.

Article Length
----------------

There is no specific rule relating to the length of submissions although the maximum word count is 2,500

Format
--------

Contributions should be submitted as a .txt attachment, as a Microsoft Word document (.doc) or simply as inline text within an e-mail. Pre-formatting is not required.

Editing
---------

Contributions are normally published without any real alterations being made. However, if it is felt that a submitted article would benefit from some changes, the editor of Teletronic will notify you first and seek your approval. If you are not happy with the changes you have the right to withdraw the article prior to it being published. Spelling and grammar corrections will be made without consultation.

Copyright
-----------

All articles remain the copyright of the individual author but Television Heaven reserves the right to publish and retain submitted articles on the site once they have passed the editing stage and agreement has been reached. Authors are fully within their right to publish their own articles elsewhere.

Queries
---------

Any queries about contributions should be submitted via email.

Attachments
-------------

Please do not send unsolicited file attachments (exe, jpg, gif, wav, etc) via email, as these emails will be deleted without being read.
